The Substance Abuse Counselor performs social services and psychotherapy functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while providing assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups to assist patient’s in achieving their optimal level of emotional health.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Counseling, Social Work, or a clinical related mental health field.
- Must possess a valid Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) or Licensed Abuse Counselor (LASAC) licensure.in the state of Arizona.
- A minimum of two (2) years- experience in behavioral health with direct experience in family, group, and individual therapy, crisis intervention, treatment skills, and strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
- CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior (SAMA) training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
- May be required to work flexible hours
