The Director has 24 hour responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care of patients.
Department Specific Duties:
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of managing and developing the women and children service lines. The responsibilities include but are not limited to; providing leadership, developing and implementing action plans to meet goals set by the Hospital and Corporation, developing for approval and then adhering to a budget, developing capital requests as requested or needed, collecting, analyzing and reporting all required or requested data, and assures the service line remains within all applicable regulatory compliance requirements under, but not limited to, Title 22 and The Joint Commission.
The Incumbent is also responsible for managing productivity, ensuring the service line has an adequate number of sufficiently trained staff, ensuring the staff's competencies and evaluations are completed in a timely fashion. Investigates incidents as necessary and completes all required documentation. Attends and/or chairs committees and meetings as needed or directed.
Current California RN license
5 years experience of progressive leadership roles in nursing management
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)
Masters Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration or Business Administration
