Abrazo West Campus(located at 136 th Avenue and McDowell Road in Goodyear) is a 188-bed acute care hospital serving the healthcare needs of the residents of the southwest Valley since September 2003. Abrazo West Campus has been recognized for high standards of quality and safe patient care by being named a recipient of the Women's Choice Award as one of America's Best Hospitals in Emergency Care. They are also accredited by The Joint Commission and are a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center and accredited Chest Pain Center . Most recently, Abrazo West Campus has achieved a grade A for Leap Frog. As a state designated Level 1 Trauma Center, Abrazo West Campus serves the critically injured patients in the Western Region of Arizona. As a Level 1 trauma center and accredited chest pain center, we see the most critical patients and provide patient centered care to them and their families. 3NW specialize in the care of cardiac patients as well as patients admitted for other reasons but require cardiac monitoring. We also care for a variety non-cardiac patients as the need arises.
Coordinates functions and activities related to a single departmental function. Position is responsible for a clinic unit. Position coordinates the
scheduling efforts of the unit RN's. Acts as liaison person to internal and external customers (i.e., pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff,
hospital administration). Responsible for developing and implementing plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements. Trains and mentors
Special Skills:Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively implement change and assist with the management of
departmental budget. Must be able to independently make decisions in high-stress situations.
Minimum Qualifications: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN.Management experience with two years supervisory. Certification in specialty area of practice preferred..
ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required upon orientation completion.
